Opportunity for a 2024 NQ Lawyer to join the leading Private Client team of a top tier Scottish law firm- this role will be based in their Aberdeen Office.
Role Profile:
- As one of Scotland’s largest teams of private client specialists the aim of the practice area is to offer clients specialist advice which will meet all their personal, legal and tax requirements and as an NQ solicitor you will play a significant role in this process.
- The successful candidate can expect client contact from the outset with a range of clients, including individuals, trustees, executors, and institutions; from all over Scotland, the UK and beyond.
- The role will involve working closely with experts across the teams, which are currently top ranked within Private Client and Family Law in Chambers and Partners.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting of wills and powers of attorney.
- Involvement in the administration of trusts and executries.
- Estate planning including the setting up trusts and other entities.
- Assisting with client's tax planning advice.
- Providing advice to high net worth clients.
- Involvement in adults with incapacity cases.
- Exposure to the practice area's business development activities.
Candidate Requirements:
- A seat in Private Client or Family law would be an advantage.
- Committed to highest level of client care and service.
- Works to understand the practice area's key clients, their requirements and the challenges they face.
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for private client work.
- Committed to taking personal responsibility to learn on the job and keep knowledge up to date .
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Communicates in a confident, clear and relaxed way.
