Unique opportunity for a 2024 NQ Lawyer to join the Real Estate & Development team of a top-tier Scottish Law firm. This role will be based in Edinburgh.

- You'll be a key part of the team working closely with senior members of the team, will have the opportunity to become immersed in asset management for properties in a variety of sectors and will also have a role in portfolio acquisitions, disposals and asset management, real estate financing and corporate support work.
- You will work towards becoming English qualified and will learn from the senior team members.
- The work will range from having a vital role in a team of several colleagues across the firm working on major projects to having your own independent transactions to take ownership of and demonstrate your management and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and interpreting titles; preparing reports on title for clients; and taking those clients through your work on a "one to one" basis.
- Analysing and reporting on leases for investment acquisitions.
- Drafting, negotiating and implementing sale and purchase contracts for a variety of transaction types including renewables, corporate occupier, development, investment and portfolio deals ranging across sectors such as logistics, retail and alternatives.
- Drafting and negotiating options, agreements for lease and leases and implementing instructions from your clients.
- Assisting with negotiation and implementation of development agreements and working with other members in other practice areas across the firm such as corporate, tax and construction.
- Responsible for asset management for various types of client/properties and with your own portfolio of work.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally you will have a seat in commercial real estate but this in not essential.
- Takes a pragmatic and commercial approach to transactions.
- Interest and enthusiasm for the property industry.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for direct client contact and working with colleagues in other disciplines across the firm.
- Communicates in a confident, clear and relaxed way and able to participate in business development objectives with clients and potential referrers.
- Adapts style of communication appropriately when dealing with colleagues and clients.
- Where appropriate takes responsibility for their own transactions and advice, subject to supervision.
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and meet deadlines.
