Role Profile:
- The Real Estate team in London forms an integral and seamless part of an award-winning practice which spans a complete range of real estate services to clients, from development, joint ventures, structured investments, acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, retail and real estate finance to construction and property litigation.
- The team combines a deep and current legal expertise with sophisticated marketplace knowledge and industry expertise and acts for the full spectrum of stakeholders.
- Additionally with the global expansion of the firm over recent years has provided an international angle to the real estate practice.
- The team are looking to hire a Senior Associate with experience in general commercial real estate transactional work- The team works on a wide variety of real estate transactions, both domestic UK transactions and supporting activities of the firm's global clients.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven transactional background, preferably with asset management experience.
- Investment based disposals and acquisitions (including corporate share acquisitions).
- Working with a project team including construction, tax, finance, corporateand planning colleagues both within the UK and internationally.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial real estate documents such as sale/purchase contracts, transfers, easements, licences and agreements for lease and leases.
- Dealing with the usual real estate due diligence requirements such as the preparation/review of certificates/reports on title.
- Carrying out asset management and portfolio management work and providing general landlord/tenant leasing advice.
- A general understanding of development transactions would be useful, but not essential.
